How the Calculation Works
The calculator uses a standard weighted-average model: it solves for the number of new reviews, at your expected new-review average, that would pull your overall Google star rating up to your target — given how many reviews your Business Profile already has. More existing reviews means each new review moves the average less, so the same rating jump takes more reviews on an established profile than on a newer one.
How Many Positive Reviews Offset a 1-Star Review?
There's no fixed number — it depends entirely on how many reviews your Business Profile already has. A single 1-star review pulls the average of a 10-review profile far more than it pulls a 1,000-review profile. Use the calculator above with your own current rating and review count to model exactly how many new positive reviews it would take to absorb a specific negative review's impact.
