Google Review Request Message Generator

Ready-to-send SMS, email, and in-person scripts for asking happy customers for a Google review.

Type in your business name, the service you provided, and your Google review link, and this tool generates three ready-to-send review requests — a short text message, a slightly longer email, and a script for asking in person — each one personalized with your details instead of reading like a generic template.

It's for a service business owner or technician standing in front of (or just finishing up with) a customer who seemed satisfied, who wants something ready to send in the moment rather than composing a message from scratch. Having the wording ready in advance matters because the request works best sent immediately, while the job and the outcome are still fresh — not typed out later from memory once you're back in the truck or the office.

None of the three scripts offer anything in exchange for a review, and none of them presume the outcome will be positive — both are deliberate, since Google's policies prohibit incentivized reviews and selectively asking only your happiest customers. Use whichever version fits how you actually interact with customers.

SMS / text message

Hi! Thanks for choosing Acme Plumbing for your plumbing repair. If you have a minute, we'd really appreciate a quick Google review: [your Google review link] — it genuinely helps other people find us. Thank you!

Email

Subject: How did we do? Hi, Thanks again for choosing Acme Plumbing for your plumbing repair. We hope everything went well. If you have two minutes, a Google review would mean a lot to us — it's one of the biggest ways people decide who to call, and honest feedback helps us keep improving. [your Google review link] Thanks for your time either way — we appreciate the business. Acme Plumbing

Said in person

"Hey, thanks so much for choosing us today. If you have a minute later, would you mind leaving us a quick Google review? It really helps — I can text you the link right now if that's easier."

How to use this tool

  1. Enter your business name as you'd want a customer to see it.
  2. Enter the specific service you provided — "your AC repair" reads more genuine than "our services."
  3. Paste your direct Google review link if you have one, or leave it blank to get a placeholder you can swap in later.
  4. Read through the generated SMS, email, and in-person scripts.
  5. Pick the version that matches how you're actually reaching this customer, and copy it with the button next to that script.
  6. Send it as close to the moment of the completed job or appointment as you can.

Which version to use when

  • Text message — best right after an in-home or on-site job, when you already have the customer's number and they're likely to see it within minutes.
  • Email — best when you have a customer email on file from booking or invoicing, or want to include more context than a text comfortably holds.
  • In-person script — best for face-to-face businesses where you're saying goodbye to the customer directly and can offer to text the link on the spot.
