No account needed — just search your business name.
Type your business name and this tool pulls the actual rating and review count from your Google Business Profile — the same data that shows up in Google Maps and Search — and puts it next to two or three nearby businesses in the same category. If Google's own listing doesn't specify a matching category closely enough to compare fairly, we skip the comparison rather than show you a competitor that isn't really one.
Most business owners only check their profile's rating in isolation, without the context of what a customer searching nearby actually sees: a ranked list where the businesses with the most (and most recent) reviews tend to sit at the top. A 4.5-star profile with 20 reviews and a 4.5-star profile with 400 reviews read very differently to both customers and Google's local ranking — this tool shows you which side of that gap you're on.
What you get after claiming
How to use this tool
- Start typing your business name — matching results appear as you type, biased to your location once you tap the field.
- Pick your business from the dropdown, or press "Claim" to search by name alone if it doesn't appear.
- Claiming your business opens your own results page with its free tools: your live rating and review count next to up to three nearby competitors, plus a rating-projection calculator showing exactly how many reviews it would take to catch up.
- Your results page has its own link, so you can bookmark it or come back to it later without redoing the search.
Why compare your profile to competitors, not just check your own rating
A rating on its own doesn't tell you whether you're winning or losing local search visibility — it only tells you how your past customers rated you. Review count and recency are separate ranking factors Google weighs alongside rating itself, which is why a business with a slightly lower rating but far more (and more recent) reviews can consistently outrank one with a "better" number but a thin, aging review base on its profile. Seeing your numbers directly next to a real nearby competitor's makes that gap concrete instead of abstract.
