What Gappsy is
A directory where businesses find software tools and marketing agencies side by side — with pricing, categories, and reviews in one place.
Gappsy indexes thousands of software tools across dozens of categories, and pairs that with a directory of marketing agencies — including location-based listings like "Top 25 Agency Lists" and browse-by-state pages. On top of the core directory, the platform includes its own product suite: a no-code app builder, a social-proof widget product, and an analytics dashboard.
What we built
Product, platform, and SEO — treated as one system rather than separate workstreams.
AI-powered discovery
A natural-language search layer — "a free tool to design social posts," "CRM with a free trial" — that routes visitors to the right tool or agency instead of a static filter list.
Directory architecture at scale
Category, tool, and agency pages structured to index and rank individually — including a full agency directory broken out across all 50 US states, each with its own page.
A suite of sub-products
Gappsy Appbuilder (no-code app creation), Gappsy Proof (social proof widgets), and Gappsy Analytics — each designed as its own product surface within the platform.
Technical SEO foundation
Clean information architecture, structured data, and page-level optimization built in from the start rather than retrofitted.
A closer look
Beyond the homepage — the pages that carry the actual SEO and product weight.

The agency directory, broken out by region — including a dedicated page for all 50 US states.

Category browsing paired with the same natural-language search from the homepage.

The approach
- Structure first. Category and listing pages were mapped before any design work started, so the SEO architecture wasn't bolted on after launch.
- Search as the front door. Instead of forcing visitors through category filters, natural-language search does the routing — closer to how people actually ask for what they need.
- Built to extend. The platform's sub-products (Appbuilder, Proof, Analytics) were designed as additions to one system, not bolted-on side projects.
